When the craft brewery craze started making its way across the country, the Crystal Coast was hip to the trend— and not left out. Throughout the Atlantic Beach area, there are several breweries waiting for you to find them.

1. Tight Lines Pub and Brewing is found in downtown Morehead City. Known for producing premium brews, this spot works to embody the lifestyle of Carteret County.
2. Only a mile outside of downtown historic Beaufort, Mill Whistle Brewing was the first brewery in the county. Focusing on small batches, it turns out a wide variety of brews, including ales and IPAs.
3. With 12 rotating taps of beers made right in-house, Fishtowne Brew House in downtown Beaufort is an excellent option for anyone looking to try a bit of everything. This is a pet-friendly spot, so it’s loved by both two and four-legged visitors.
4. Make the short drive to Newport to visit Shortway Brewing Co., a veteran-family owned brewery and taproom. In addition to refreshing brews, they also offer North Carolina-made snacks.
5. Head over to Atlantic Beach and Crystal Coast Brewing.  They opened their doors in 2017, and all their products are brewed in Eastern North Carolina, and they use as many local ingredients as possible. They also send their spent grain to a local farm to be turned into everything from soap to dog treats.
