Held each year on the first Saturday in May, this free celebration honors the art of traditional North Carolina wooden boatbuilding and boat racing. Marvel at the craftsmanship of dozens of handcrafted wooden boats on display and witness nautical demonstrations that showcase the timeless beauty of these vessels. The roots of this beloved event date back to 1975 when Mr. Charles R.
