Front Street Grill

Front Street Grill has long been a culinary institution in Beaufort North Carolina. In the summer of 1999, the newest iteration of the Front Street Grill came to fruition at Stillwater. Their menu featured plenty of fine food and wines that present themselves over the casual backdrop of a waterfall.  The mantra of the restaurant is “Coastal Food with Southern Soul.”

To start your meal off, The Front Street Grill serves a wide variety of seafood including skillet shrimp, fried calamari, and fried crab cakes. There are also plenty of salad options including a chopped salad, goat cheese salad, and their signature cobb salad. For main courses, review the classic southern dishes, including shrimp and grits, blackened ahi tuna tacos, and pan seared backfin crab cakes.

The one thing that keeps regulars coming back, however, is their pimento cheeseburger. This twist on a classic is topped off with their signature applewood smoked bacon that really set this burger apart. For a dining experience fit for the whole family, the Front Street Grill is an excellent choice.

The Beaufort Grocery Co.

The Beaufort Grocery Co. is an excellent odd ball spot for you and your family to check out. The café offers a wide variety of sandwiches for you to choose from. Each sandwich comes with a choice of side, including pasta or potato salad.

Some of the favorites include The Queen’s Club; an amalgamation of ham, turkey, bacon, cheddar, and swiss cheese, toasted on sourdough bread and served with roasted tomatoes. There is also the Reuben Willis from Down East that is a beer-grilled corned beef sandwich. This sandwich is also served with a dazzling rémoulade sauce.

The Breakfast Grocery Co. closes daily from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. to prepare the dinner transition. Call ahead for specific seat availability and hours.

No Name Pizza and Subs

Looking for something for low-key for you and your family for dinner? Perhaps the No Name Pizza and Subs is more to your speed. The menu is loaded with sandwich options for you to choose from including two types of gyros, shrimp burgers, and even a hot dog special that comes with their house made chili. The signature sandwich, however, is their club sandwich that is served with ham, turkey and roast beef that is accompanied by housemade fries. No Name Pizza and Subs also serves many hot sandwiches including a meatball sub that is made constructed of housemade meatballs and their signature marina sauce that ties the whole thing together.

For something a bit more of a hometown feel, No Name Pizza and Subs is the place for you. It is open every day, without fail, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. You’ll find it hidden away at 408 Live Oak St.
