From this vantage point, you can easily spot the eye-catching Cape Lookout lighthouse along the horizon line — it’s a beauty! With a harbor at your doorstep to tie up your boat, it’s a quick trip to cruise the Cape Lookout National Seashore and head out to see the lighthouse in person, island hop along the coast to search for wild horses on Shackleford Banks or sea shells on Sand Dollar Island.

This property is the loft unit— the entire top floor — expansive and exclusive, with high-end features from top to bottom for convenience and comfort. Open living makes gathering in groups, big or small, effortless. Entertaining is a breeze, too, whether casual or more formal —with a modern chef’s kitchen for cooking together, countertop seating and dining room space as well.

At The Cape, you will lounge in a spacious primary bedroom with a king bed and twin day bed with trundle, and en suite bath with an inviting tub for soaking and a fully tiled walk-in shower. One guest bedroom features 2 queen beds and the second guest bedroom boasts two sets of bunk beds (one bunk has a full bed on the bottom AND a trundle bed), for all the kiddos and your friends!

At The Cape, you have the advantage of being close to neighboring towns like Beaufort and Morehead City, where you can visit all of the local shops, fine dining spots, galleries, ghost walks and pirate tours, too! This place is the best of both worlds— where you have access to fun at your fingertips and can delight in the wonder of the coastal lifestyle!

"Beautiful penthouse with amazing views from the enormous wrap around deck. The home was just as pictured; beautifully decorated with no expense spared with high end finishes including beautiful bathrooms, loads of storage, wallpapered closets & a full size washer/dryer too. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need & high end appliances. The elevator made loading & unloading easy & of course, the teens loved using it! The 2 restaurants in town, although not fancy, were delicious with fresh local seafood as well as many other choices. The Cape Lookout ferry was right down the road. If you're looking for beautiful, modern accommodation in a peaceful, quiet setting, you won't be disappointed with this rental.

"We enjoyed our stay at The Cape so so much. The house was beautiful, well appointed, comfortable and clean. The elevator was great for the initial unloading and for the first grocery run. Mary sent very clear instructions on the dos and donts of the elevator operation and how to get inside the house. That was much appreciated as residential elevators are different from regular elevators. The videos explained the entire process. The king-size bed was very comfortable, and the showers had nice water pressure (you dont always get that at the coast). The living room furniture with the recliners were great too. The inside, while great, it was the outside areas that we enjoyed the most. The views were spectacular! All the outside furniture was very comfortable. We were outside most of the time especially at sunrise, sunset and looking at the moon and stars. We enjoyed watching the dolphins and boaters in the Back Sound. It was a perfect week!
